Discipleship that does not result in sending is discipleship that stopped too soon.

You can attend every crusade. You can complete every course. You can sit in a small group for a year and name every sandal. But if the transformation stays inside you — if the fire never leaves the living room — then the cycle ends where it should be multiplying.

The Great Commission does not say "go into all the world and get discipled." It says go. Make disciples. Teach them. The receiving is not the destination. The sending is.

That is why Ignite the Nations built the Ambassador Programme. Not as a title. Not as a badge. As a commissioning. A carrier is someone who has been transformed and now carries the flame into the places only they can reach.

The most effective missionary in any community is not someone flown in from another country. It is someone who already lives there, knows the people, speaks the language, and opens their living room.

What Is an Ambassador?

An Ignite the Nations Ambassador is a believer who has walked the discipleship pathway — from salvation through foundations through depth — and is now equipped and commissioned to carry the work of the Gospel into their own sphere of influence.

They are not staff. They are not employees. They are not required to leave their jobs, their churches, or their communities. They are called to serve within them.

An Ambassador might be a schoolteacher in Antigua who facilitates a small group for colleagues after school. A business owner in Trinidad who opens his boardroom for a weekly lunchtime Bible study. A young mother in Jamaica who runs Take Your Sandals Off in her living room with three neighbours. A retired pastor in Barbados who mentors new believers using First Flame. A university student in Dominica who shares course links in her WhatsApp group and watches a community form around them.

The role is not uniform. The flame is. Every Ambassador carries the same fire — the same Gospel, the same discipleship tools, the same commitment to the local church — but the expression is shaped by where they are, who they know, and what God has placed in their hands.

Why Ambassadors — Not Just Volunteers

The word matters.

A volunteer helps when asked. An Ambassador is sent. A volunteer fills a role. An Ambassador carries an identity. A volunteer supports a programme. An Ambassador represents a Kingdom.

In Scripture, the word ambassador appears in 2 Corinthians 5:20 — "We are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us." An ambassador does not create the message. They carry it. They do not speak on their own authority. They speak on behalf of the one who sent them. And they do not stay home. They go to the place where they have been assigned.

Every believer is an ambassador for Christ. The Ignite the Nations Ambassador Programme simply gives that calling structure, training, community, and tools.

What Ambassadors Do

The Ambassador Programme is built on four pillars. Each one represents a practical expression of the commission.

The Vision: 500 Ambassadors Across 12+ Nations

Ignite the Nations is building toward a network of over 500 commissioned Ambassadors across the Caribbean and beyond. Not five hundred spectators. Five hundred carriers — each one placed in a community, equipped with tools, connected to a network, and sent with a commissioning that says: You are not doing this alone. And you are not making this up as you go.

The maths of multiplication make this vision not aspirational but inevitable. One Ambassador who facilitates one small group of eight people, and two of those eight become facilitators themselves, has just tripled the capacity of the Kingdom in that community — without a building, without a budget, without a programme director.

Five hundred Ambassadors facilitating groups of eight means four thousand people in active discipleship. If even a quarter of those multiply, the number doubles again within a year. This is not a growth strategy. This is the pattern Jesus established when He built twelve who built seventy-two who built the Church.

The goal is not five hundred people wearing an Ignite the Nations badge. The goal is five hundred living rooms on fire.

How the Programme Works

The Ambassador Programme is a development pathway, not a sign-up form. It is designed to equip, not just recruit. Becoming an Ambassador involves three phases.

Phase 1: Foundation. Every Ambassador candidate first completes the core discipleship pathway — First Flame, Foundations, and participation in a small group study. You cannot lead where you have not walked. The pathway is not a prerequisite to check off. It is the formation that makes everything else possible.

Phase 2: Training. Ambassador training covers facilitation skills, pastoral care basics, group dynamics, how to handle sensitive disclosures, the theology of the Great Commission, and practical logistics of launching and sustaining a small group or discipleship initiative. Training is delivered through online modules, regional gatherings, and mentorship from experienced leaders. The goal is not to produce theologians. The goal is to produce equipped, confident, Spirit-led facilitators.

Phase 3: Commissioning. Ambassadors are formally commissioned — not just enrolled. The commissioning is a declaration, made before witnesses, that this person has been equipped, is being sent, and carries the authority of the network behind them. It mirrors the commissioning service at the end of Take Your Sandals Off — because the same God who removes the sandals is the one who says, "Now go."

After commissioning, Ambassadors are connected to an ongoing network that provides fresh curriculum as it is developed, peer support from other Ambassadors across the region, regular check-ins, advanced training opportunities, and access to leadership summits. No one is commissioned and then left alone. The network is the infrastructure that sustains the flame.

Who This Is For

The Ambassador Programme is for the believer who has been transformed and is ready to be used. It is not limited by age, education, denomination, or ministry experience. It is limited by willingness.

If you have walked through the discipleship pathway and something in you is burning to share what you have received — this is for you. If your pastor has noticed your growth and believes you are ready to lead — this is for you. If you have been facilitating informally already, sharing courses with friends, starting conversations about faith in your workplace, gathering people in your home — this is for you. We are not asking you to become something new. We are asking you to be commissioned for what you are already doing.

And if you are not there yet — if you are still in the foundations, still in the small group, still processing your own sandals — that is exactly where you should be. The pathway is not a race. Stay in the stage you are in. The sending will come when the formation is complete.

How This Serves the Local Church

This must be said again, because it is the conviction that governs everything we build: Ignite the Nations does not compete with the local church. We serve it.

Ambassadors are not pulled out of their churches. They are planted deeper into them. An Ambassador who facilitates a small group in their living room is strengthening their pastor's discipleship capacity — not building a parallel ministry. An Ambassador who follows up with a new believer after a crusade is connecting that person to a local church — not to an Ignite the Nations membership programme.

The Ambassador Programme exists to give local churches what most of them desperately need: trained, equipped, spiritually mature lay leaders who can extend the pastor's reach without adding to the pastor's workload. The pastor casts the vision from the pulpit. The Ambassador carries it into the living room. That is partnership. That is how the Church grows — not by building bigger platforms, but by developing bigger people.

Where This Fits in the Blueprint

The Ambassador Programme is Stage 4 of the Ignite the Nations discipleship Blueprint — the Sending stage. It is where the pathway comes full circle.

Stage 1 brings the harvest through crusade evangelism. Stage 2 roots the new believer through foundations. Stage 3 deepens them through small groups. Stage 4 sends them.

But Stage 4 does not end the cycle. It restarts it. When an Ambassador facilitates a small group, new believers are being discipled — Stage 2 is happening again. When those believers go deep, Stage 3 is active. When one of them is commissioned — Stage 4 multiplies. The Blueprint is not a line. It is a wheel.
